DIS is seeking a qualified Tier 3 System Administrator to support our client.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.

Manages server backups and remediation of system vulnerabilities to include STIG compliance.

Troubleshooting support for incidents that occur within one (1) business day after receipt of request during normal business hours.

Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.

Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.

Install, configure, and maintain operating system servers, including web servers and database servers, in support of business processing requirements.

Ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.

Utilize ServiceNow/Remedy/ITSM to maintain and track trouble tickets.

Develop and promote standard operating procedures.

Proactively identify issues and resolve and make suggestions for improvements to the environment.

Sets up administrator and service accounts.

Maintains system documentation.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Participates in special projects as required.
Skills and Experience:
-
Expert knowledge with Exchange
-
Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining both physical and virtual servers.

Experience with DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Windows Server 2012

Experience with installing, configuring, and supporting windows-based applications on Windows 7, 8, and 10 desktop systems, both virtual and physical

Extensive knowledge of Server and PC hardware and software maintenance

Experience analyzing requirements for deployment of new desktop applications, creating deployment plans and automation processes for new applications.

Demonstrated experience with Group Policy Management, to include creation of policies, troubleshooting and maintaining.

Demonstrated experience with applying STIGs to systems, applications and components and troubleshooting STIG related issues.

Self-starter and ability to work tasks with little supervision or assistance
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree. Can be substituted for Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or 4 years relevant experience.

DoD IAT Level II Certification is required.
-
Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
